Bird watchers can hike or kayak throughout the county to observe birds from bald eagles to hummingbirds.  On an annual one-day bird count 135 different species were recorded.  Heron Days at Clear Lake State Park every April offers tours of treetop rookeries, plus walking tours, lectures, and slide shows.  The Redbud Audubon Society hosts birding hikes each month; call 707-994-1514
